The company will utilize public posts, comments, and interactions with its Meta AI assistant for training purposes, explicitly excluding private messages. To address privacy concerns, Meta will notify EU users about the AI training and provide an option to opt out via an objection form, pledging to honor all such requests. This move aligns Meta’s practices with those of other tech companies like Google and OpenAI, which have also used European user data to develop their AI.
