The Commission highlights increased scrutiny of standard contractual clauses (SCCs), third-country risk assessments, and supplementary measures. Particular attention is given to transfers involving cloud services, SaaS providers, and multinational corporate groups.
This development emphasizes the importance of transfer impact assessments (TIAs) and contractual governance — a growing compliance challenge for global organizations processing EU personal data.
